It is our goal to provide service to our customers that exceeds the service found at any of our competitors. We are committed to listening to our customers’ comments and responding to their requests. We will stand behind every piece of merchandise we sell. We will fix it, exchange it, or refund their money, without a hassle.

We will provide our customers a clean store that is well stocked with quality merchandise. We will be the most conscientious, courteous, knowledgeable, and well trained salespeople in our profession. We will provide all of this at very competitive prices, and we will be the overall best value for our customers in the markets we serve.

History

The founder of Keith Ace Hardware, John Keith, was born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1957. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1979 and Baylor Law School in 1983. After passing the bar and deciding not to practice law, one morning he opened the paper and saw a hardware store was going to close. On December 8th, 1983, John Keith purchased that 97-year-old Lee Hardware and Furniture in McGregor, Texas from G.W. Lee. As the new owner, John made it a point to personally meet everyone that came into the store. We continue that tradition today. With John’s ingenuity, hard work, and leadership, the stores grew from the one in McGregor to stores also in Hewitt, Clifton, Hubbard, Marlin, Red Oak, Brady and Lorena.

In February 2007, John passed away from cancer. His wife Karen, then took the helm. She brought in Tom Cox and Beau Nickel, long time and faithful employees, as part owners. Under their leadership, Keith Ace Hardware now also has locations in Salado, China Spring, Belton, Meridian, Valley Mills, Copperas Cove, Whitney and Georgetown.

We recognize that without great employees and loyal customers, the success of Keith Ace Hardware could not be realized. We strive to be the most knowledgeable in the hardware business and to provide our customers with TEXAS SIZE SERVICE. We appreciate our customers and continue to strive to serve at the highest possible level and to be YOUR local ACE Hardware Store!
